Do I need an account to use Canto?
You can start swiping the moment you open the app. Sign in with Apple whenever you want to keep your bookmarks, themes, and reading history in sync across devices. No passwords to invent, no email to verify. -
Is Canto on Android?
Not yet. Canto launched on iOS first so we could ship the home-screen and lock-screen widgets the way they deserved. An Android version is on the roadmap — if you'd like to be notified, drop a note to hello@canto.page. -
Where do the quotes come from?
Every passage in Canto is hand-curated from published work — classics that have entered the public domain and widely-shared lines from contemporary books, credited to their author and linked to the book itself. The library grows weekly. If we surface a line you wrote or authored, tell us — we'll attribute, amend, or remove on request. -
Can I submit my own quotes?
Not in the first version. We wanted the feed to feel edited, not flooded, so every quote passes a curation pass before it ships. Reader-submitted quotes with light moderation are planned for a later release. -
How do I cancel Canto Pro?
Canto Pro is billed through your Apple ID. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions — you can cancel in two taps and keep Pro until the end of the billing period. Canceling during the 7-day free trial costs nothing. -
What about my privacy?
Canto doesn't run ads, doesn't sell data, and doesn't track you across apps. We store the bare minimum needed to sync your bookmarks and preferences — your Apple ID, the quotes you save, the themes you pick. Full details live on the Privacy page. -
Do the widgets really change with the theme?
Yes. Pick Winter Fireside in the app and your home-screen widget turns burgundy and ember; pick Spring Bloom and it shifts to sage and blossom. The lock-screen quote inherits the same palette, so the whole device feels like the theme you chose — not like a widget bolted on.
