Privacy, plainly.

Canto is made for readers. We don't run ads, we don't sell your data, and we don't share anything about your reading life with third-party advertisers. This page explains what we do collect, and what for.

What we collect

• Apple ID identifier — to sync your bookmarks and preferences across your devices. We never see your email unless you choose to share it.
• Your saved quotes, themes, and settings — stored so the library feels like yours, and so you don't lose it if you change phones.
• Anonymous usage signals — which screens you open, how long sessions last — so we can tell whether the feed is working. No personal identifiers attached.
• Crash diagnostics — if the app fails, a report is sent via Apple's crash tooling so we can fix it.

What we don't collect

• Your location.
• Your contacts, photos, or calendar.
• Your browsing outside the app.
• Anything you haven't explicitly given us inside Canto.

Push notifications

If you opt into daily quote notifications, we send a single push per day at the time you choose (or 8:00 AM on the free plan). You can revoke permission from iOS Settings at any time.

Subscriptions

Canto Pro is billed through your Apple ID. We see a subscription status — active, expired, trial — but never your card details.

Data deletion

Email hello@canto.page with the subject "Delete my data" and we'll purge your record within 30 days.
